Acrylic on Canvas

Artist: M. Solorzano

  • Influenced by Picasso’s period of cubism, and surrealism and De Kooning’s abstract expressionism,  M. Solorzano paints biomorphic shapes. She is great at ambiguously blending figure and ground in her pictures while dismembering, re-assembling and distorting her figures in the process.

  • In this painting we see a nude woman and her lover or maybe a companion holding, interlacing hands.  The woman is relaxed and looking straight forward.  This is something the artist paints frequently to show a woman's power and confidence.

Both, man and woman have big mystirious eyes.

Daisies, (the aritist's favorite flower) is something that we see in many of her paintings.
