Influenced by Picasso’s period of cubism, and surrealism and De Kooning’s abstract expressionism, Martha paints biomorphic shapes. Martha is great at ambiguously blending figure and ground in her pictures while dismembering, re-assembling and distorting her figures in the process.
Paintings are also available in prints on paper, metal, and acrylic and in various sizes. This is all done on special order.
